Roller conveyors are a series of rollers supported within a frame where objects can be moved either manually, by gravity, or by power. There is a wide range of ways roller conveyors can be used and modified for different uses including transporting boxes, cardboard boxes, crates, pallets, plastic totes, polybags, slave boards, and trays. Roller conveyors are normally used in environments such as warehouses or manufacturing facilities due to the nature of transporting goods. Using a roller conveyor can add versatility to the type of transfers, diverters, and stops that can be used as part of a conveyor system or automation system. You can get roller conveyors in mild steel, galvanized, plastic, or stainless steel.
Chain conveyor systems are rugged, durable conveyors used to transport products along a production line. They are suited to many items that wouldn’t typically convey on a roller conveyor. Therefore, typical uses are to move pallets, racks, industrial containers and any products with a sturdy lower surface. They are used in numerous industrial and commercial environments, including warehouses, automotive plants and distribution centers. A chain conveyor is powered by a continuous chain and they are primarily utilized to transport heavy loads. Our chain conveyor systems are typically a double strand configuration with the load positioned on the chains, however multiple strand configurations are available.
Slat conveyors use a slat and chain system to move components along an assembly line. They are often used where production operations are performed with the parts located on the conveyor. Steel panels are attached to the chain with special chain attachments, and the chain is driven by an electric motor and gearbox. Therefore they are one of the most commonly used types of conveyor for moving parts along and assembly line while the work is being performed. They are ideally suited to applications where components are being assembled onto a fixture located at an ergonomic working height.
